- I think I must have dreamed last night. I mean, I suppose I always do, but I almost never remember them, so I don't tend to think about it. But I'm in a deeply -longing- place today, but it doesn't feel like my usual flavour of being, and it feels like it's about something just out of mental grasp, so I assume it's a residual something from a dream I can't remember. Strange feeling.

- Offensive casting notice of the day:

Character: Bitch
You will be playing a 13 year old who has something very special about her beyond the fact that she is a genius, has completed a PhD in Geology, and is highly sensual.

- The unit of measurement for the pacing of fiction is West Wings. No really. It's like "is this story a West Wing or a half a West Wing or three West Wings?" It works.

- A new low: I am obsessed with a Placebo song.

That isn't by any chance the character's name, is it? (Thinking of Roberta Gregory's comics strips about her cartoon character Bitchy Bitch. Also laughing oddly at the memory of some NY sf fans in the 80's who went through a phase of wearing various buttons declaring themselves "Journeyman Bitch" and "Novice Bitch".)
