- Today has been oddly productive. I've written some freelance articles and done some work for one of my other gigs. And I've got another chunk of disability articles to do in the next couple of days.
- The power is back on at the office.
- I just did this huge crazy Andrews Sisters thing to my hair for tonight's fencing soiree, which I suppose is a bit over the top, but I felt like playing.
- There is a series of lectures/performances on London and New York in the 1920s/1930s at the Met in January. They are on Wednesdays. I am annoyed. There are only two that I'm really desperate to go to, so I might. One might also conflict with when Patty leaves for Oman, but I suppose I should get tickets and just pass them along to other interested parties later if need be.
- Listening to the still remarkable Ziggy Stardust album. I can't get my head around what it must have been like to be young and fabulous when that album showed up. Of course, to say that then gets me into this endless loop of just how astounding Bowie's career in the 70s was. Because seriously? Panic in Detroit? Sexiest guitar ever. Young Americans? God, I don't even have words for Young Americans in its sexy, faux-mainstream peculiarity.
