- Patty is off to Ohio and is buying our Atlanta tickets tonight.

- I am very excited about taking an airplane flight with Patty. I have not held someone's hand when the plane took off in almost 15 years. I do _hate_ commercial flying though, and turbulence makes me sit there in white-knuckled annoyance/fear chanting the Bene Gesserit Litany Against Fear. I am not even joking. It's so undignified. And hilarious, in current contexts. I faintly remember, all half asleep, her telling me she'd make sure I wasn't scared on the plane. Which leads into the item below with a certian level of hilarity it's almost difficult to describe.

- I am slowly retreating from my "I am not cosplaying" stance about Dragon*Con, although I am now leaning towards a steampunk outfit based around the Bedoin coat Patty brought me from Syria. Of course, people I know in TW fandom are going and various people need a Jack for various cosplay things and I MUST RESIST. Hopefully, I'll be less itchy about it, since I'll have had time to play at Terminus and at the upcoming DoV stuff. I think a lot of it is that after having excuses to costume twice a week for a month, I feel out of sorts in the mundane clothes of modern summer, and there is, really, something oddly nice about the press of braces on one's shoulders. Really. Wait what was this about again? Oh yeah, I am not cosplaying at Dragon*Con. Crap.

- The Fantasticks is a much different show when you are 35 than when you are 8. Still charming. And wow, that fellow they have playing The Wall right now? Cute cute cute cute cute. Dark hair, bright wide eyes and a smirk. You see where this is going. I never remember The Wall smirking in its efficiency before.

- A Friday of 800 tasks.

- Time to write the Terminus papers! (Or at least produce copious notecards! All of which I'll probably memorize anyway just by accident. You all have never seen me give a paper. I'm kinda motherrfucking awesome.

The first step is to admit you have a problem =)
Personally, I find the call of doing something you happen to be really fucking good at, something that is just easier to give in to =)

I can't wait. Tremendously looking forward to your presentations (can't see all of them unfortunately, but I am pretty sure I am seeing the dueling one and the Snape gender one.

Be that as it may, while the thought of me getting trashed in the Green Room with Gareth David Lloyd while in my cosplay stuff is hilarious to YOU and in THEORY it is in fact the sort of INSANITY I do actually try to avoid, because I really, have some shame. I swear. And that's a good thing.

Hmm, that new variable does change things a tad. Because, yeah, that would be weird. %-|

Oh I thought you knew (I've been ranting about this for months). Yeah, I'm going to Dragon*Con as a guest and because it's a multi-fandom con and I'm always a bit tongue-tied with celebrities when I'm not doing acting work, I'm like "oh crap! be a professional, you're a professional you can totally handle this!"

But you know, eek. And it's always strange to remember that other people who work in teh genre are not so of the geek as myself.

And totally weird. Sort of funny. But way more weird than funny. Which of course is why every motherfucker I know has sort of been utting me up to it for months.

I more than likely DID read about that. I apologize. I got a lot to keep track of pre-terminus. Brain is a tad overloaded lately.

You see, you need to find a way to hang out with celebrities who are secretly geeks.

Like Vin Diesel or Ryan Renolds =)

I saw The Fantasticks when I was 15 and I swear our Wall smirked. He was very Harpo Marx. I had a little bit of a crush on him.

I did, however, feel like a whooooole lot of stuff was going over my head.

I was in a production of the Fantastiks in High School. I was Luisa's father (Huckabee, right?). We took a road trip to NY to see the show to get ideas. It would be interesting to see it again now, being older.

Of course, hearing Try to Remember would probably choke me up because I associate that song with Jerry Orbach whom I still miss.
