Did the Grand Assault happen, or is there one this year? I can't find any current info online...

It'll be in the fall this year, so not yet. I don't think we have a specific date yet.

I'll have to track it down, but there was a particularly compelling Master!Fic I found on Teaspoon where he essentially mind-rapes Rose.

It's a lot more well-written than that sounds, I promise.

I hate that. I have a ficlet sitting in a notebook because it just keeps wandering off into bickering, and with the temperament of one of the characters, bickering of that kind can lead to fatal violence. So I just keep going round and round on how to have the conversation without someone ending up dead, and they persist in pissing each other off. It doesn't get transcribed until this gets settled with a minimum of bloodshed.

Well, to a given extent this is what needs to be happening, because Jack's brain is still healing from being buried alive for about 2,000 years, so every time Ianto tries to properly confront him with something Jack gets all distracted by some random piece of minutia.

Poor Jack. He's remarkably sane considering. (Either that or he presents well!)

Do I Twist, Do I Fold - in which the Master meets Rose, and Things Are Dark. Not quite gen, not quite not-gen, and one of the most brilliant things I've read in my life.

*gigglesnort* yeah, I've got pages of notes of them yelling at each other. They have issues. Many, many issues. No shortage of that. Short on resolution.

Generic comment:
I like "Do I Twist, Do I Fold" but...I don't feel like it reflects the entirety of who the Master is.

My only justification for that thought is that it feels very based in New Who (though of course including the 'obey' phrase is classic Master at his very best).
