The piano downstairs is today augmented by a whole band. There's a vocalist and a trumpet and a bass and some really basic drums, and they're practicing jazz standards and Patty and I just took a break from cleaning to dance on the landing. I have no idea what I've done to deserve this little, funny bit of perfection, but I'm glad I did it.

Meanwhile, I've done laundry and some work.

She's got the office nearly cleaned to perfection. The week after Dragon*Con we're getting bookcases, which means things can get off the floor in the living room and we're on our way not just to a plan, but a house fit for guests.

But there's jazz in our stairwell. I'm a spoiled, spoiled creature.
