All I can think is he must have given one hell of an audition, because I've seen him in a couple of things and think he's a pretty weak actor. Thank goodness indeed.
viggo mortenson wasn't the first name to occur to me as a likely actor to play aragorn, but i think everyone agrees that he was the best choice imaginable for the role. as for stuart townshead, i haven't taken him seriously since his embarrassing spectacle in queen of the damned which was just awful.
