Short version: Palin uses Yahoo account to evade gov't transparency laws; email account then gets hacked and contents are posted to the Internet. Account is then deleted, possibly by Palin, possibly violating more law in the process.

It has always been assumed that in the Star Trek Universe, knowledge of the Early Space age Earth culture was sketchy due to WWIII. We now know that it was due to the complete absence of public records dating from the Palin Presidency.
