aaaaah and ouch

I'm at work.

I have a pounding headache and a million deadlines.

Wore my new coat for the first time. It's only knee length, single breasted, no belt or vent in the back. But god, it gives me a perfectly straight line from shoulders to knees and settles onto my shoulders like a dream and it makes me just so goddamn happy.

on my desk:
vitamin water
red bull
tylenol

sign on my apartment building this morning:

"The boiler will be turned off on September 26 from 1am - 5pm. We are sorry for any conveniences this may cause you."

shopping

where do you shop, primarily (as in which stores)? or do you wander until you find something? or is it online? you have some amazing gowns/dresses that i covet in a big way; where are you finding them?

This caot is a Kenneth Cole thing I got at Filenes.

Most of my cool stuff is from H&M several seasons ago, oddly. Mostly I wander around until I find something.

Kenneth Cole do manage to design a good coat, don't they? I managed to acquire a rather dashing single-breasted trench online for a bargain.

Are you familiar with Newport News? They often have coats (and other things) that are different kinds of awesome -- they may have something with yours.

I have a few things from there, but their stuff almost never fits me. It's meant for a "womanly" figure which I don't have. Apparently even size 4 women in their world have D cups. I can wear their bottoms, but not their tops. I assume coats would suffer the same problems.

Huh. I agree that their sizing charts are on crack, but I've had better luck with their coats than my roommate, and she's got a bigger bust than I do -- she has to buy a size or two larger than they think she does.

Sounds like breakfast after a good weekend.

As for the boiler, this sounds like something I'd find on campus.

Sadly, the contents of my desk are merely the results of feeling like shit for no good reason and an anticipated 15 hour work day. I did consider bringing vodka too. Gotta drink as you document the end of the world or something.

I had an apartment one time and the management had turned off the water at least once every week for a month

The boiler off means no hot water, or also no heat?
