So last night we watched the rerun of SNL from a couple of weeks ago because we hadn't seen it.

That "Welcome to the Space Olympics" thing was like the funniest shit I've ever seen. I'm not even sure why -- perhaps because it was like a really bad VNV Nation (and I like VNV Nation) song. Perhaps because Patty and I kept trying to figure out the context.

Is it the theme song for the Space Olympics?
Is it about something that happened at a past Space Olympics?
Is it like one of those Ziggy Stardust things?

I dunno why, but we laughed ourselves stupid over it and we're still singing it to each other this morning.

Meanwhile, the Ikea furniture came several hours early, so we're going to go deal with that before I visit my father again and go do some work.

I wasn't around to watch the rerun, but that was the one that was playing when I was in the emergency room! I had to stop myself from laughing because it hurt so much.

My friend's zealously Christian mother added your father (and Soren) to her prayer circles' lists. I will try to swallow enough drugs to get up at church today and ask the much less zealous people there to add in theirs.

I saw it the first time aorund. I laughed my ass off at that too. I just thought it was lovely randomness.
