My understanding is that Kali has an even better one of the tailcoat flapping about, which even more so emphasizes why I simply must find a good solution to the coat dilemma for my Jack cosplay.

Okay, ignore the fact that Edie is on her mobile. Also, this will be funnier when I have the pics people took on Saturday and you can see the "what is the deal there?" factor in the accidentally color coordinating outfits of Patty, Kali and Edie. Walking into the Assembly with them on Saturday night may be one of the funniest moments of my life.

She's been remarkably calm through this whole thing. I was pretty calm most of the weekend, mainly because I've had her close by (basically, I've been fine if she's with me, and having a panic attach otherwise) and today I actually feel close to normal. Frustrated by all the crap we have to deal with and angry, but not like I am falling apart anymore.

I adore, I adore, I covet. I had a moment of extra impact when I realized you were sitting down on your butt and leaning against a dusty tree in your finery, because it's *just clothes*, not a costume that requires posing like an action figure.

Damn it. How much of that stuff did you have to have tailored and how much did you manage to scrounge? I *must* broaden my period wardrobe.

Pants are not historically accurate (I have some, but it was cold that day and I wasn't in the mood) and were $8.97 at Burlington Coat Factory. Boots, also not historically accurate were $25 at Rainbow. Shirt, waistcoat and tailcoat were all made for me (although everything but the tailcoat would be easy for even a beginner sewer to do themselves).
