coat

Just got the measurements on the coat (the one I am most worried about? the shoulders? 16.5 - 16.75 they said. The shoulders on my coat that fits me perfectly? 14.5 - 14.75. Two inches is not terrible, ne?). I _think_ it's doable and will give me enough extra fabric off the bottom to make the proper belt for it.

ETA: trying to arrange time to try on coat now.

ETA2: Crappy weapons policy at Gallifrey One, so I can't bring the Webley resin model. Tell me that this is not a good excuse to build a hand in a jar. Because that's a stupid, stupid project, right?

Check your local Halloween store for rubber hands. Or wait until just after Halloween when they go on sale if you have time. Heck, I think I've seen motorized battery hands at the Spirit store; one of those in a jar should be easy. Not sure how to make it act as a purse, but hand in jar!

The jar has about an inch of thick black casing on it -- I can put a second compartment in there for money/keys.

Oh, perfect! I was thinking about using the inside of the rubber hand, but that's annoying and tricky if it's a motorized hand. I was picturing a Mason jar, but of course it would need something else to it.
