- It's cold.

- I am REALLY happy about this Sandman thing.

- I think I've reached Denial about the 10th Doctor.

- The dude I bought the coat from is a newbie to paypal or something and is calling me and telling me there's a problem with my payment when no, he just didn't hit "claim". This is mildly irritating.

- I am almost done with Almost Perfect, and it's really interesting. I feel so fucking terrible for Jack in it, I can't even express it. I also have a lot of conflicted feelings about its portrayal of the gay community, of gender, and of Jack's sexuality, some of which I'll get into when I finish it. Definitely the most interesting of the tie-in novels by far. And while I try to take work without incorporating the author's perspective necessarily, a lot of this book would read very differently if I knew if the author was gay or not, which is a complicated thing in and of itself.

Isn't Denial the first stage of grief?

Yesterday I was shattered. I got briefly angry. Today it's Just Not Happening. And yeah, it's one of them certainly.

I am really happy for you! As soon as you revealed what it was I knew Desire would be involved somehow.

And don't be too upset about DW. The beauty of the series is that each Doctor has his own...thing, whatever it is, and they're each lovable and insane in their own ways. I'm actually looking forward to seeing someone else take on the role. But then, I'm still slogging through season three... ;)

Oh, I totally get it in terms of the beauty of the series and what's going on there and all that. Totally.

But I can't tell you why it breaks my heart if you haven't finished Season 3 yet. But it does. Because of Jack.

Off topic, but I thought you might like to see these fencing engravings from a book blog I read.
