NYC - tornado watch

NYC is under a tornado watch until 2am.

wow. I always thought all the tall buildings would screw with it and not let that... ...erm, work properly.

Yup. It totally can. They break up fast, but they can break windows and cause some damage. We've also have them pull up trees and cars and damage houses in the outer boroughs. It doesn't happen often, but it's very real.

I kind of want to see this happen now.

Err... in a witness sense, that is... on YouTube or something... not in real life... not that it wouldn't be filmed from real life... I'll shut up now.

It's not so much the tall buildings as it is the relative lack of cool air at ground level. But it still happens.

On the other hand, they usually get mugged before they do too much damage.
