- We are packing up the German office for the move today, so I might be a little scarce.

- The tournament has absolutely, positively done what I needed it to do for my fencing. Last ight was excellent, and I'll write about it later.

- Need to get my ticket to Ohio today, since I should grab onto the cheap fare while I can.

- I can't stop singing "I Know Him So Well" because of [livejournal.com profile] hllangel's vid, and the fact that it's one of those things I've used as an audition song, so I know it really, really well.

- It is raining and grim here.

- If I could find an actual person at Google Groups to throttle, I would. As it is, I'm poking their system and the generic complain email boxes really, really hard.

Just out of curiosity, which part of Ohio?

[identity profile] rm.livejournal.com 2008-11-25 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Columbus. It's where Patty's family lives.

Strangely enough, I've lived in Ohio my whole life and have never been to that city. If you're heading there in the winter, though, at least you won't get hit with massive lake effect snow. :)

What happened with Google Groups? Or is that too long a tale to tell at the minute?

They won't fucking approve an add -- not that it's been rejected, just that it's been pending for AGES, no matter how many complaints and queries I file, when they say they process these in 48 hours or less.

- It is raining and grim here.

This is true.

But it is also warm enough that breathing the ambient air doesn't hurt.

I can't stop singing "I Know Him So Well"

Gallifrey karaoke duet, you know you want to.

I do. I love that song. Also, my new evil thought (I mean, seriously funny, but I am going to hell -- "One Night in Bangkok"

[identity profile] marchek.livejournal.com 2008-11-25 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yes, straight to hell. It's works for John Hart as well.
The downside is I've seen this song crash and burn as a karaoke performance on more than one occasion but if anyone can pull off this song it's probably you.

The vid is gorgeous, and there's also a solo re-arrangement of "I Know Him So Well" on JB's album.

random question:

Do you have need of WWII era gaiters?
(looking rather like this http://www.battlesim.com/zen/images/Gaiter1.jpg)

The Army-Navy store near my job has mint condition white canvas ones, and used but in good shape navy green ones. $8 a set.
