rmTwo of my checks from The Manchurian Candidate came today. Taxes are a bitch, but still I think they (the checks) are unutterably neat. Of course, I'm missing one, and of course it's for the first day worked, so if it doesn't come on Monday, I'll have to call and express concern, which is so one more dumb ass thing I don't have time to do.

A building a block from me burnt up. One of the old tenament buildings that's most of my neighborhood. There's all water frozen on it, and you can see through the windows up out the top of the burnt roof.
