Does anyone else have the Rant from Samsung/Sprint? Do you have any idea if I can (and if so how) to do custom wallpapers/ringtones for it?

Also, if you think I should have your number since you have mine, pls page me and tell me who you are so I can add you back into my phone book.

I haven't played with the ringtones on mine much yet (downloaded a couple, and you can set specific ring tones for individual numbers) -- only had it about a week *hugs it* but the wallpaper thing, I ended up emailing a picture I wanted to my phone, then you can save it to the phone, and set it as wallpaper from there. You also can connect the phone to a computer via USB and theoretically move pictures that way. Oh if you have a mini-SD card adapter so you can plug the mini-SD card into your computer and transfer pictures to it, then put it back in your computer...

The wallpaper settings are: under Settings, Display, Main Screen, Screen Saver, when you have a picture saved in "my albums" you can access whatever from there...

And you can assign specific ringtones to individual people in their contact settings... at the bottom of the list of things you can edit is a ringtone setting.

Sorry this is all somewhat vague, I'm a little drugged at the moment.

How did you email it to your phone? I can't figure out how. I emailed it to myself with gmail that I check on my phone, but that didn't really help as it saves those attachments not to the places you describe.

I actually don't remember exactly how I did that; it was some trial and error.

Try this: Go into Messaging, and to Email -- if you haven't set up an account, it's a quick set-up -- email the picture(s) you want to yourself at your gmail (or whatever you set up on your phone in this section), and then go in to the message, it'll list that there are attachments, you can click on view to see them, open the picture, and once it's open, the menu has a "save as" option that should allow you to save it to "my albums" which are on your phone/your SD card.

Does that make any sense? :-) The phone takes a little getting used to but once you get there, it's a sweet little toy.

Makes sense, but it's not an option -- it only saves it to a GMAIL area that is not part of my albums and there's no option to save it anywhere else.

Do you have an adapter for your mini-SD card? (should have come with the phone?) You can pull the card, put it in the adapter, put that into your computer if you have a card reader, and load stuff onto the card, then stick the card back into the phone... or connect your phone to your computer via the USB cord?

Honestly, I hardly ever read manuals for things, and I spent a while reading over the one for this thing. It gets easier once you figure out where everything is. Which, clearly, I'm still doing. lol. Hope that helps some though...
