Am profoundly frustrated today.
Want everything now.
Dunno where this is coming from, especially since I have auditions tomorrow.

Does anyone in NYC have a really conservative size 4 business suit I could borrow, by like say, Tuesday? Stepford is still looking for people, and now that I know the reasons it hasn't worked out before (which was always sort of accidental, as it was at a casting for something else so I wasn't looking that way), I think I can maybe pull it off. But my suits are long not a part of my life. Actually, someone also said the magic "waiver" word and now I'm being obsessive, but if nothing else, obsessive often wins the day, I've found.

Also, am totally a sugar addict -- I've always had a huge sweet tooth, but I'm trying to cut down and the cravings get so distracting sometimes I can't get anything done. That sucks. I am doing a lot better about it though.

A nutritionist gave me a good tip for when sugar cravings hit: carry around one of those little packets from a coffee bar, and when you get the craving, put a few grains under your tongue. Your brain sends the signal that sugar is on its way, and the craving stops. Works, too, as long as it goes *under* your tongue, not on top ;O)

oddly enough, i actually may have such a buisness suit, or at the very least, passable jacket and trousers, on my person. let me check (unearth) the closet: i will let you know the size in an hour or two.

right, so here's what i do have. i'll actually give you the brand names, in case you're familiar with how a certain brand fits you.

the actual size 4 items are a miniskirt (black wool suiting, fingertip-length, silver square buckle self-belt, zip back - marked 6/8, but it's a 26-28" waist.) and a pair of pants(Parallel, black, something slightly shiny, self-belt, 31" waist, 38" hips, 27" inseam, rise 8 1/2", unlined, summerweight. not ultraconserative to my eye, but might do with the right jacket in a pinch. you can actually have this in any case, should you want them.)

as for the actual suits and jackets, i have:

Theory medim/dark grey tweed pattern poly/wool pantsuit: both unlined, jacket single-breast, three buttons concealed in placket, straight cut, false front pockets - 39" bust, 38" waist, 24" long - pants button-fly, wide belt loops, 29" waist, 10" rise, 33" inseam

J. Crew black, slightly nubby wool pantsuit: jacket lined, double-breasted, 38' bust, 32" waist, 20" long - pants side zip, half-lined, no belt or pockets, 28" waist, 11" rise, 32" inseam

i also have two jackets: a medium grey DKNY single breasted, concealed buttons, actually looks to me as if it would fit you oddly and is probably too long at 29", and a black silk(?) twill Sandra Soulo, single-breasted, lightly lined, waist seamone false pocket - slightly military. 35" bust, 30" waist, 24" long.

let me know if you think you want to try anything on, and i'll tote it along with me to work on monday. (the office is on 2nd street between 1st and A.)
