While I do not pretend to understand the America that has unleashed things as bizarre as both Superbowl half-time shows and the infamous closing ceremonies of the Atlanta Olympics -- could someone please tell me what was up with Janet Jackson and her Clockwork Orange dancers? And that bit with her boob at the end? And bizarroworld bastardizations of 80s earworms by P. Diddy?

On the other hand -- that Linux commercial with Muhammed Ali was _awesome_. Haven't been wowed by much else though. NFL "Tomorrow" ad was both more fun and more affecting than I would have thought.

The Lay's commercial was a good laugh.

The Pepsi/iTunes ad scared the piss out of me. I think it was the commercial's faint stench of Big Brother undertones.

So did the Hendrix commercial.

Now, that I think of it, most Pepsi ads scare the piss out of me.

As for the halftime thingie: I don't understand the appeal of them. My favorite halftime show is still "Hooray for Everything": A tribute to that dancingest hemisphere, the Western Hemisphere!
