- It took a week for the post-con letdown to hit. Interesting.

- So I'm sort of supposed to go see my parents tonight, but I just realized that is _not_ happening, because I'm wearing the coat. And they will ask about the coat. And I will lie to them and tell them it's a British RAF coat I've been working on, and then my fussy mother will look on the inside, see the German label from the original tailor and freak out. Right. Seriously not happening.

- I'm still obsessed with this Rilo Kiley song.

- Now, I seem to have a little cold proper, finally. Perhaps that means it will go away soon.

- Must do work. Then hopefully socialize just a tad, and then go home and write. Brain breakthroughs on both pieces in progress.

- I do, in fact, have $600 more dollars in the bank than I thought. The Gally hotel was immediately deducted from my account, but it didn't show up as having happened until today. Thank Christ. I knew I spent a lot of money out there, but oi.

Huh, looks like Black Tie Guide has a lot more information than when I looked at it last summer. But if you like that and can afford to lose some time, I spent a week or two doing almost nothing but reading at http://askandyaboutclothes.com/ -- among others, I learned an awful lot from the professional shirtmaker who contributes there.
