This is why both LJ Idol drama _and_ fandom makes me so aggravated.

We're so invested in words, and yet feel perfectly free to act as if those words have no consequences. Well, they fucking do, people.

I don't engage with most of the social aspects of the content. I enjoy the prompt and find them useful in terms of developing a thematic focus to my non-fiction work.
