This is why both LJ Idol drama _and_ fandom makes me so aggravated.

We're so invested in words, and yet feel perfectly free to act as if those words have no consequences. Well, they fucking do, people.

Yeah, but you know, just in case it comes up. It made life seriously unpleasant for me and there are limits to what I can deal with and what Patty should have to deal with from me. If we want to go to Istanbul, we'll take a vacation.

It was severely bad-crazy, and that just the part of it that I'm aware of. A friend of mine was on our city council one (three year) term, and you would not believe the scary things she had to deal with from random, determinedly evil,just plain bat-fuck nut-jobs -oh, no, I guess you would.;(
