It's fun with Google ads time!

When I send Patty an email saying "I feel oogy" because I have a cold, I get ads for websites on "how to be a good wife."

When I send Kali a Jack/Ianto sex scene for the next chapter of Enough to Go By, I get ads for "feng shui decorating tips."

So... um... when do we get to see these "decorating tips" *wink-wink-nudge-nudge*?

The goal is that this chapter is posted before WriterCon (I leave a week from Thursday), and I think she just has one more chunk of material to write before we go into edits, so soon, I hope!

A spit take warning would have been nice!

I don't think I've got ads quite as bizarre as those, but yes, thanks to getting all the replies to my LJ comments (including the ones for my occasional rounds on [livejournal.com profile] mini_rps) routed through my email I have thoroughly confused the Google ads' keyword bots, I think.

I would love to see the WikiWalk that produced those results.

LOL That almost makes me want to start paying attention to Google ads.

Yes, a kitten alert would be good. :)

It's also a ridiculously vanilla sex scene (which is the point of it). So it's like... buh? Really?

When you send Kali a Jack/Ianto sex scene for the next chapter of Enough to Go By, I get... happy!

YAYS!

I'm looking forward to this fic more than I looked forward to CoE. I'm sure the ending will be better. No pressure or anything. :D

Ha. I posted an update about similar "suggestions" functionality in Facebook a short time after you posted this, but I hadn't seen your entry yet. even my title was almost exactly the same as yours. get out of my head!

I've used the term, "I feel oogy," for years. I thought I was the only one!

Oogy? My mother insists that "oogie" was my first word, and that it meant "good girl." So...odd as it is, in my head, that link makes sense (I won't get into what I'm sure are the dated/sexual implications of the ad). Incidentally I have yet to find out what my actual first word was.

First one would've been more appropriate if you were emailing about John Hart...

Now I'm wondering if "ooky" is etymologically related :). I use that one a lot...

I have seen massive fail on the google ads in gmail, too. It's entertaining...

I'm bummed I lost all my let's hack googleads comments -- I used to do a meme fairly often where I'd have people post random shit and see what googleads kicked out. Good times.

I'd die of comment if I did it now.
