Also mentioning it just so I don't forget... gotta mail that guy about the Luhrmann-related book. I've got Bristol so much more on the front burner of my brain, but come on! Gotta get on that.

I figured out how to structure the chick lit novel. God help me. It may be the one thing I ever try to publish not under my real name. When I actually have a draft someone can read, you'll see why. I have to force myself to get this thing done. It's like... Galaxy Quest meets random chick lit. Yes, whatever it is you're thinking, yes. Cracky cracky cracky. It's either going to make me rich or be so odd as to be unpublishable.

But what I really need to be working on is the lesbian werewolf story.

Logistical snafus with a major check today, so that's rather annoying, but it should be sorted out by the end of the week.

I've got to get my ultra-nerd glasses fixed before that audition on Friday (man, it was so funny finding out about that while down at the con).

The thing I hate most about being a writer: the length of time between creation, submission, acceptance and publication. I WANT MY INSTANT EGO GRATIFICATION NOW, KIDS. In short, despite having signed contracts on 6 different things this year, none of them are out yet, and it's frustrating to me, especially as I wait to hear on other things of similar ilk.

Anyone have an LJ archive program they like for the Mac?

Tonight is for tending to clothes -- I think EVERYTHING has to go to the dry-cleaner post Dragon*Con.

Imagine that same scenario for the name players in that film. I mean doing press for a film you had left behind and trying to muster up enthusiasm for it when perhaps you were in the midst of filming something so much more vital that you wanted to talk about?

Oh yeah. But it's part of the job. You don't succeed in the business if you can't get it up for that sorta shit. I have the luxury of avoiding it. Hey, I should go look up if I have any residuals coming soon....

My taxes COMPLETELY SUCK. I do them myself too, which is a little crazy.
