I am trying to be super productive today, not just because of that, but because a story that has been fighting me decided to work last night, right at bed time, and I'd like to just finish it at lunch. It's starting to change in the US, but in the 1950s it was a "health and hygiene" thing and then it just continued. There's really only begun to be mainstream backlash about it in the last 10 or so years. Most of the women I know, especially the ones my age, if they've only have sex with Americans have never interacted with an uncut cock. Certainly, if I said I've seen about 100 men naked between sex work and my personal history, I can only think of one off-hand who was uncut.
Women younger than me, or less involved with older men have different mileage on this, but it was the dominant practice here for so so so long.
Someone who is an activist on this subject (and there surely is someone on my friendslist who is), can probably give you better numbers/history, but there you go.
