That said, my impressions of the first two episodes:
- I had seen the posters for this program before it started airing, and was mildly intrigued (cute guy, good suit) but didn't really care. Immediately though, Neal is a much more interesting character that I would have thought, mainly because the first couple of things we manage to see in his eyes are fear and a desire for approval.
- Hey, PoC in interesting roles!
- Lesbians!
- Pug!
- Yeah, the clothes are the fuck awesome.
- Good, interesting use of NYC as the setting.
- I'm not that interested in the world of the show. It's essentially a procedural/caper show. Got it.
- This show is actually about two guys who really love their wives (is Neal married to Kate?) That's pretty cool and actually oddly deviant for TV. On the other hand, wow, it's just really heterosexual and I have a hard time caring.
- But yeah, El is awesome.
So, we'll see where it goes. I totally wound up having a kinky sex dream about it though (okay, it was Jack and Peter watching Ianto/Neal/El. What the fuck?).
