Here's a hint: many similar laws prohibit more than X unrelated women living together. Got it? Yep, it's a law aimed at preventing whore houses! Lovely, huh? When I was at Hofstra I was told that was the reason we didn't have a fraternity/sorority row. Although now that I'm a bit older and looking for a house, I'm more inclined to think that the organizations couldn't handle Nassau County property tax rates.
