seeking couch/room in London

Okay, we've been rebooked on a flight out of Heathrow on Wednesday 4/21 and we need a place to stay as of tomorrow.

If you have a spare room or couch located somewhere on the London tube for a low maintenance queer couple, we would be very grateful. We will certainly find some way to compensate you, but would like to avoid continuing to pay London hotel rates (we're also not sure we'd be able to keep the room for that many days).

Email to racheline@gmail.com to discuss.

Additionally, fair warning: Patty has a cold right now, so if you or anyone in your household is immuno compromised, we're probably not who you want around right now.

We're good, thanks folks!

I sent out an email to a couple of my UK friends. I'm not sure where they live right now, but maybe it will help! They are all super duper queer friendly - or queer themselves - and I know they both have guest rooms.

Crossing my fingers for you guys!

We have space in Reading for Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights but our spare room is occupied on Tuesday night :( We are on the RailAir link route from Reading to Heathrow so very handy for that. Also, the place is Somewhat Chaotic as we prepare for two weeks of different houseguests, but as long as you're not expecting a hotel it's probably fine :)

Thanks for responding Ailbhe.

TO RM: I've known Ailbhe online for over 10 years now, and have met her and her family (well, not the younger one :) in person. They are lovely, open, warm people. I highly recommend staying with them!

[livejournal.com profile] djm4 forwarded me your e-mail as he's away at the moment. We have a room free tonight and possibly the other nights in question, but it looks to me like [livejournal.com profile] rm already has offers more convenient for Heathrow than we are - we're completely the wrong side of London for it, to the extent that I always try to avoid having to fly from there myself.

Liz, thank you for responding :) I have only been to your (lovely) house that one time and it was like in 2000 or something! I don't know London that well. Though, I do know that even if it's an inconvinience, you are still closer to the airport than *I* am! Heh.

It was at least late 2001, as we only moved into the house then. ;-)

As I'm sure you know, you'd be most welcome to revisit any time, of course.

And I hope to! :)

Our spare room *may not* be occupied on Tuesday, it turns out. Anyway for one night we can move the futon mattress somewhere else I'm sure.
