Our Rabbi did this sermon on "invisible lines of connection", and had this whole thing going about "a volcano, in Iceland, who knew?" - and he asked how many congregants in the room knew of people affected by the travel disaster, and I mentioned you and Patty getting stuck an extra week in the UK...
