Physically Jack isn't particularly interesting to me (Ianto is so physically my type when it comes to men, it's a little ridiculous), but the way he can focus attention on people, that's compelling to me. Which is, I suppose, how we get here.
And yes, the Ianto in these stories seems to need this stuff for the no as much as for the yes of it.
