I got the impression after a while that Wes and Lilah cared about each other more than they cared to admit, and that it was something that grew quite organically without them realizing or even wanting it. I think it's one of the better written relationships I've seen on television. And yes, Alexis Denisof is smoking hot, and somehow gets more and more so the "darker" Wes's character gets.
That situation about discrimination against the unemployed is so ridiculously awful and unfair. I honestly think it should be illegal.
