Yeah, I'm given to understand that either that kind of comment is a dry run, or they're meant to have links in and the spamming software doesn't hook up well with LJ's comment coding. Before I started banning, they'd hit me twice -- once with plain text, once with clumsy links. I got three different ones on Storyteller this morning so it looks like it kinda comes in waves.
