weekend, ahoy

Patty got a supercute haircut. Tomorrow we're going to the beach (we should start cooking our beach things soon), and Sunday is Pride.

All of which means we're going to be super-busy and more than a bit tired out from all the time in the sun.

Since I'm a bit cranky and am having fun with the way low blood sugar, my clumsiness and the heat interact with my heart condition and my mood (things that are possibly hot in fanfiction but really not hot in real life -- being covered in raspberry juice), I'm considering steering mostly clear of the Internet this weekend. We'll see if that actually turns out to be true.

Meanwhile, [livejournal.com profile] writerinadrawer voting is open from now until Sunday afternoon.

Raspberry juice? This is me over here, dying because you made me laugh while my lung capacity is diminished.

Raspberry-apple to be fair.

BUT COVERED IN IT. And it was hot, so I was mostly naked at the time, and it just sucked.

BUT if it were from actual raspberries, and you were eating them with ice cream. in bed. that could be different.

Not at all. I LOATHE food being on my body (or anyone else's). Big squick.

I was thinking accidental raspberry juice still, not intentional, but whatever.

raspberries, in general, are good. except for the seeds.

That sounds awful! What if there had been ants? I guess it could have been worse. It could have been a bunch of vamps and clamato juice. (Ahhh Southpark.)

So that *probably* wasn't you at the Drama Bookshop today. That would have been v. embarrassing.

Nope, I was at the office and Costco all day.

You need to write this now. :)

Seriously though, hope you feel better soon -- much as I joke about needing the internet plugged into my veins, getting away for a couple of days can be very refreshing.

Hallo! I just ran across your journal and I've read a few of your entries. Would you like to be friends? I've added you; I also have read Harry Potter =D.

Hey, welcome.

Every so often a break is nice. Have fun at the beach!

You two have a good one!

Oh ick, many sympathies. I lack the heart condition, but my own health woes make me stupid and clumsy and unable to tolerate the heat well, and I'd have to fight off a meltdown if I was covered in sticky juice under such circumstances.

I swore I wouldn't go to Pride this year partly because of the heat, and our annual summer switch to "cold and foggy" has come early. Our plans to have an open house and offer our friends iced drinks, shade, and a real bathroom are confused. Maybe I'll make hot cider instead.

Oh I totally had a meltdown.

Almost cut my hair. It happened just the other day. It was getting kind of long. I could have said it was in my way. But I didn't and I wonder why ...
