On the one hand, it irritates me to see people throw around terms like “freedom of speech” and “censorship” and “First Amendment rights” to complain about how they are not being allowed to express their views in a forum that someone else owns.
On the other hand, can this elevation of the First Amendment to a grand principle be considered a characteristic of American culture?
