We met on _riverside a community for discussing ellen_kushner's Swordspoint and related books. Since she's an academic and I keep swords by the bed, it was a bit, excuse the pun, on point. Since we live in the same city, we met after flirting a lot (involving a very fucked up night in a bar with some dude who wanted to be our friend and kept telling us stories about the omlettes his ex-gf made him while wearing only a thong). Being chicks, we were circumspect for a while and then finally got together. Then, thanks to my ex-roommate moving to China and the horrors of NYC's real estate market, Patty moved in. Now it is yay.
