Yeah, I've been trying to figure out the timing of the re-piercing my ears so I don't get stuck with earrings for something that would cause me upset. I may do it right before Europe since I can't really be gender-variant at work while I'm there.
I have no sense of how either venue will be decorated (although lots of red is a legitimate risk for one that had not occurred to me), but think Meat-Packing District nightlife I normally avoid for both events. (I am so rolling my eyes at my high school).
Ear piercing before Europe sounds like a good plan.
I imagine that the women as these events will try to out-fashionista each other given the choice of venue. Unless you want to play that game going vintage is probably the better "stand out" choice, also a converstation starter.
The first architecture firm that Alan worked for was in the Meat Packing district. He had to walk through the filming of "Sex and the City" quite often.
Regarding shoes, don't forget having to navigate the cobblestones in that area in heels. It's sort of a recipe for disaster.
Yeah, and I don't want to be, at all, involved in a competition between the type of standard factory settings women I will never be. I was thinking vintage myself, although I'm never good at thrifting.
And I can totally do cobblestones in heals. It's a function of having grown up here, I think.
