I think it was Joshua Micah Marshall (of the Talking Points Memo blog) who suggested that all the xenophobes have been crawling out from under their rocks since Obama’s election because Dubya—who, for all his faults, spoke frequently about how America is not at war with Muslims as a class—is no longer the Republican standard-bearer.
