I lightly bleach it twice a year. Otherwise, the dye doesn't stick around worth a damn.
My preferred brand is RAW Color. It seems to last longer for me than MP does, though when I have the spare cash, I really like Fudge. (Fudge is $17 for 2.5 oz. RAW Color is $13 for 4oz. Yipes.)
