(no subject)

- I took my first London cab from LCY to Paddington. Ouch, but thank god, it would have been a nightmare managing my bags.

- I am in Paddington now, my laptop batterys about to go, I can't find any plugs and my train's not til 3:45.

- I just ate probably sketchy but deliriously good conveyor belt sushi.

- London still feels like home.

- Happy.

- If I owe you stuff because my Internet has been HIDEOUSLY and WEIRDLY sporadic, it's not happening today, because I'm painfully tired and was up all night and want food and Patty and a shower and to see some Harry Potter. Tomorrow, however, is, thankfully another day, and I should be able to get actual crap done.

- Sundries when I'm able. There's a Theater Thursday's under this post that I wrote from ZHR.

- OH MY GOD, THAT SUSHI WAS SO GOOD.

- Oh hey, which phone providers here sell Blackberrys? I need to know where to go to try to get a replacement battery for mine, as I think that's the problem.

If all you need is a Blackberry battery, I would find a Phones4U or Carphone Warehouse. They sell unlocked phones for all contract services. Orange is the Verizon equivalent; I think O2 is the ATT equivalent, but I can't be totally sure. Carphone Warehouse is the better of the two stores, and they're all over. Around where are you staying? There's definitely one just outside Tottenham Court tube station, and also one right on the Strand just past the Savoy. Those are the only ones I know off the top of my head, but you should be able to find them.

Enjoy your London stay!

*nodnodnod* Carphone Warehouse was our first port of call when getting hold of a UK-friendly 'phone when coming back to the UK on holiday. Fairly certain they'll have the gubbins including batteries and chargers for BlackBerrys since they're common in the UK.

Thanks. This is very helpful. It seems none of the carrier shops sell the batteries, so I didn't know where to go.

Sushi conveyor belts in London are the best! Some Londoner friends took me to one on my first visit, and I was completely overwhelmed. So, so good, and it just keeps coming!

I saw Harry Potter (the second one) there on that visit, too, so you're bringing back a lot of memories. It really is the only city that felt immediately like home when I first got there.

Hee! You went to "Yo, Sushi!" didn't you?

I love Paddington Station. The ironwork is incredible. ;)

I did. Their salmon nigiri was ridiculously good.

Glad you got to Paddington all right and hope you're relaxing in Cardiff now.

I do enjoy Yo Sushi, the pumpkin gyoza is delicious, though probably not GF.

I think most mobile phone shops will have some Blackberry models/paraphenalia, but Carphone Warehouse will probably be the easiest to find and likely to have what you need.
