TRON! Can't stop thinking about it. I wish it had more teeth -- R-rated and with a coherent script. Alas. On the other hand: discovered that there is a Tron kinkmeme on LJ.

Oh, one warning about Tron -- if you have any sort of auditory processing disorder or are deaf or hard of hearing, you will lose huge chunks of the dialogue and almost everyone's name. I rarely have problems during films, but with lots of characters wearing full face helmets and a lot of electronic processing done over the voices, stuff can be hard to understand and lip-reading isn't an option a huge chunk of the time. The plot is incoherent enough that may not actually matter to your enjoyment of the film (I'd personally love to watch the whole thing without dialogue and see if it's more coherent), but be prepared.

Saw a preview for The Eagle last night, which is likely to be the next explosively huge fandom on LJ.

Patty saw hockey last night. There was only one fight. She is disappointed.

The Miracle on 22nd Street. Two men in Chelsea wind up receiving hundreds of letters address to Santa Claus for no reason they are ever able to figure out, and then set off on a journey to get as many of them fulfilled as they can. -- uncaptioned video. Here's a summary of the story.

ETA: Or, it may be someone wrote me an extra story and just entered it in Chromatic Yuletide because of my posting my letter here. So actually, I'm not sure what's going on. But it's awesome.

Subtitles are not going to help this movie. To do that, you'd hafta read the mind of the "writers" who worked on the "script"... It's basically lottsa pretty pictures with meaningless dialog in the background.

Hahaha, The Eagle. I saw a trailer for that recently and was like, 0____o I loved that book when I was like 8 years old -- I wonder if it was that homoerotic? I probably didn't pick up on it. anyway: AWESOME. i am so going to see it and make :D nerdfaces at all the inevitable historical inaccuracies.
