I'm looking forward to it. I've been wondering recently why gender non-conformity is so very deeply threatening to many people -- apparently much more threatening than any number of other differences. I really hate it when people act like Freud might be right about anything ...

I suspect it's because gender is relationally defined. Certainly, most of the negative remarks I've received about my gender presentation comes from people concerned about how it reflects on them.
