I love Whole Foods. They were giving away chocolate samples today from a company called Dabova, and there were all these geeks hanging out going "Dagoba?" -- I'm not even sure if that's spelled right, but Star Wars geeks are laughing now. Anyway. Also, all their food is stunning, the giant viatmin waters were onsale for $1.19! and all the magazines are food, home decorating or gay. Also, INXS was on the PA system. I'm sorry, but like, someone crawled into my head and made me a grocery store. I want to hug them all.
Had my fitting, will probably have another one Monday. But it's good and helpful and what I needed right now. Have a long rehearsal tonight of an act I've one line in. I should have brought a book, or more postcards to work on.
Got more resumes printed, after today's prior debacle with Kinkos. Getting a paycheck by Monday, which will mean I'm only owed 5 weeks of back pay. This weekend I'm going to spend a judicious amount on some summer clothes and a much needed new handbag, and I'm going to walk around Soho with the unfortunate serenity that came with those brief moments where I mattered financially -- it's bogus, more now than ever, but it's a nice feeling none-the-less, even if I have to fake it.
Have to pay the cable bill, send resumes tonight, and start planning my schedule for tech week and the show run, as well as starting to look at the sides for The Laramie Project audition.
For all the misery I've carried around with me these last months, one of the many simple facts that remains is that I have incredible luck and above average drive. If I could just nuke the procrastination, I could take over the world, and you know, I just might.
Cleaning the room on Sunday. Definitely finally getting to Sunburnt Cow before then. Thinking of where I want to have a ridiculous lunch the afternoon of my show opening, since I've decided to take the day off and relax as I wind up into it.
So, hey, I'm pretty good, inspite of it all.
