Australia in two weeks. As you can imagine my head isbarely here. I feel like I'm rushing through everything lately, and I wonder if it shows. That's stressing me out, but most things are. TOday I brought the luggage home from work and made the important discovery that it is _impossible_ to navigate in the subway, and as such, I am most definiately not taking the train to the plane. I'll call for a blue bus or even book a car.
Some quasi-good news at work, but quasi being, well, quasi, we'll see how the actuality of that pans out.
Have finally gotten all the way through Return of the King:EE -- some of the adds are more graceful than others, and it is certainly the film where you can most tell Peter Jackson is a charmingly eccentric wacko, but ultimately it's stunningly moving and the new footage solves a lot of problems. For having one tiny scene together Eowyn and Faramir have awesome chemistry, and more hobbits in battle stuff is awesome. Additionally there's this _creature_ right before the battle at the Black Gate, that I just adore. It's very very Clive Barker and I can tell it got cut kinda because the deisgn, while consistant with the rest of the film just doesn't blend in right-- but it's very very cool. Also, funniest easter egg ever. Finally: Boromir Breck Girl moment -- major inappropriate laughter in this house.
Modeled for an art class in Hoboken last night, which was fine other than I was tired, cold and had to spend time in Penn Station for the first time since the Bus Trip to Texas Adventure, which I'm trying to use to give me strength for this really long flight to AUstralia, but is mostly just scaring the crap out of me. I've hit the point where I've realized I just have to sit down and make a list of everything that needs to be done, despite my stubborn persistence in trying to keep everything in my head.
Had a real breakthrough in riding the other day, and I predict that in two more lessons I will be doing the posting trot and controlling the horse comfortably.
Have started thinking about all the year end wrap up posts I'm going to need to do a couple of days early. Ohm also, save December 26th if you're in NYC -- I'm going to have a thing as a bar as my socializing before I depart. I know I'm not really going away long enough to have a going away party, but this is one of those you never know adventures.
I'm doing a reading tomorrow, and I was supposed to be sent the script in advance, but I wasn't, so I'm doing a reading tomorrow blind, and I'm feeling a little insecure about it, especially because I'm probably reading more than one character and my throat is feeling really tight. That said, flexing the acting muscles a tad before getting to Oz is a good thing.
Dear Southpark,
Cerberus has three heads, not two.
Thanks,
Rach.
P.S. -- This episode? Not funny. Creepy. Not fun creepy. Just creepy.
