(P.S., my Internet is back).
The Fellowship for the Performing Arts is casting "The Screwtape Letters." The play follows Screwtape as he dictates letters to his assistant, Toadpipe, on the fine art of temptation. Jeffrey Fiske, dir. Rehearses Jan. 2-26, 2006; runs Jan. 27-Feb. 13 in NYC.
Seeking—Toadpipe: male or female, assistant to Screwtape, Hell's under-secretary, sly, sardonic and charming, speaks primarily through movement, like The Mute in "The Fantasticks," on stage the entire play, should have strong dance, movement, mime, improv and/or mask skills.
Also, to my intense bemusement, I see someone is doing an all male modernization/adaptation of Les Liasons Dangereux.
