In the process of my wacky little day job the other day, I got to read an interview with Tilda Swinton in the Toronto Globe & Mail. The article has gone off to filing now, so I don't have the specific quote, but she was talking about lonliness and how she couldn't imagine not being lonely -- after all, everyone is always lonely. And she talked about how there was so much shame about that.
And it just seemed worth noting. We do not exist only in communion with others.

So the audition was eh -- some things were very very good, some things were very very bad. I didn't get it, and lord, I am too tired to care.

Meanwhile, I am trying to restrain my impulse to get into what is surely going to become a flame war on
apothecarium about eggs and health.
