Oct. 8th, 2005 12:54 pmThe Whole Foods shoot was really fun. Also, free groceries and the secret of guacamole. I hope they use my shots. The art direction staff seemed insanely into me. "Has anyone ever told you you have a very 1950s vibe?" Why, yes. Whatever they put in my hair smells like cinnamon and is sort of giving me that Insane Helena Bonham Carter vibe. I have utterly no social plans today, and that is a shame.
Meanwhile! I just used the Amazon gift certificate that Rahalia gifted me with for the big 33. Most exciting? I mean, other than an Alexander novel I wanted and the rerelease of Brock-Broido's first poetry book? Wild Palms on DVD at long last (yes, boys an girls, I _believed_ in the Internet as something better and darker than just a new conveyance for car ads and porn, but I lost). I know, how absurd, but it's _amazing_ as satire, commentary on America and as a saga of family. I've always thought my idea for the ending was better, but up until that point, it's very much got the epic type of scope I want in the stories I myself prefer. I've got to make Kali watch it, as I think it'll actually poke her brain a bit for Decensus.
