Off to get a wine for dinner, some champagne, a tokay (because I just found out it's a real thing and I think it's funny, and if I don't do it today, I'll forget), and some marzipan pigs. And there's apparently a panetone in my kitchen. I'm wearing my red dress (with my cute new snow boots) from my going away thing last year/Lady Macbeth @ NIDA/Opera House stuff and I just refolded the saree I was given, as neatly as I could. It's been a funny year, both ha ha and odd. And as ever, it always seems to take until the last second to totally come round. Last year, I was about three hours out from Sydney by now, and it was a different day.
It's hailing.

- I could not find the wine store I was looking for, even with its address, which speaks to some type of unbelieveable stupidity on my part.
- Hence, random wine store, no tokay.
- But, they did have a Los Vascos reserve, which is one of those wines that tastes like it should cost way more than it does. Also got a bottle of Piper Heidreik or however you spell it.
- Almost struck out on marzipn pigs, and so bought marzipan acorns having rejecting the idea of marzipan ladybugs as horrifying.
- remembered the Hungarian food market -- and in having the pigs, they saved the day.
