Knights of Prosperity was cold. They made us wait outside for hours and hours instead of in holding. I may never be warm again. I did read half of The Privilege of the Sword though. I don't even know how to talk about it yet.
But I do like the following exchange, maybe more than anything. Mainly because each time I read it, I can't decide if I'm the boy or the girl.
"When I was sixteen I left home and went to the city. I didn't know what I wanted, either. But things kept happening to me. It was interesting, and I found I could manage."
"That's different. You're a man. And you could fight."
"So you're a woman. And you will be able to fight."
It has great respect for serendipity, that little exchange.
Meanwhile, in the chruch where we were doing some filming today, there was also a memorial service scheduled, while we were filming. So a bunch of us were inside, waiting to be called to set, on the stairs, and people would come in for the memorial service, and this fellow, Mark, and I, over and over again, just had to tell folks where to go for that. These little jobs find me.
My hands really do hurt from the cold now though. Mostly the tops of the first joints closets to the back of my left hand.
