Author’s Note: [livejournal.com profile] hofnarr agreed with me that in one critical scene of Bond in Peril, Villiers looked like he was going to throw up and wondered if the poor soul had a crush on the agent. So I wrote this silly thing, which will most likely be my only foray into this particular world in this particular way.

My shoulders hurt like hell, and not in a fencing way. I think i slept stuidly in holding yesterday. yesterday, btw, was long, so it'll be a good check when it comes. That said, OMG GERMANS! PAY ME! Eek.

I'm tired and half feel like blowing off fencing tonight. WHich of course means I can't. I can't get into that place where I do that. I thik I will leave right at 9 instead of hanging out to watch the show until nearly ten.

The Gather.com thing I'm writing for is live now at http://entertainment.gather.com if you're interested:

these are not very interesting sundries, but I'm tired as hell right now and waiting on all sorts of crap.
Hey, the government is now trying to do abstinence-only education for everyone that's unmarried and under-30. I guess they weither don't believe in unmarried 34-year-olds, have given up on us, or have decided my eggs arent' fresh enough for it to matter.

What the hell am I talking about?

The latest round of German money drama will be resolved Friday, meaning I can pay all my bills and start on the holiday madness.

I am relieved.

I'm more "of course I'm going to fencing tonight" but the sluggish and tired remain. I really do have to leave at 9 and not get seduced into watching the free fencing.

Meanwhile, more of the programming for Phoenix Rising is being posted and there are starting to be panels and papers I really want to attend, so that's to the good (the first round of stuff that was posted was stuff I was largely not interested in).
The brownies and cinnamon cake at Babycakes are so good I was scared they weren't gluten free.

I totally know what paper I'm going to do for some HP con in 2008: "A Speculative History of Duelling in the World of Harry Potter." Right? I AM SO SMART!

Meanwhile, finished the excellent First Man in Rome. So now it's on to The Vintner's Luck for [livejournal.com profile] themollyhouse, then Kushiel's Dart, then Fall of the Kings, then probably the next book for [livejournal.com profile] themollyhouse and then on to the sequel of First Man in Rome and so forth.
