While I must first do serious writing on the Amtrak I am about to board, I have figured out at least two sequels to today's earlier Glee fic. You know, for those who are actually into that sort of thing.

(Have I mentioned there might have been the purchase of a completely ridiculous scarf the other day because characters are now in my head. Never, ever, take the fiction shopping).

I knit for the fiction. It's a sickness.

Never, ever, take the fiction shopping.

I went shoe shopping after acquiring a fictional drag queen and there was this totally impractical pair of lavender suede boots with pointed toes and stiletto heels that I managed not to buy on the grounds that I would never wear them. (I was looking for something to wear to work. I walked a mile to work each way back then. So, no. Though my boss would have found them adorable and hilarious.)

It was the correct call, but I'm still kind of sad that they are not mine.

Many years ago there was an incident with brick-colored linen yoga pants, which is so intensely not my style as to be comical. And I just remember friends going "Really? Whose fault is that? Because it can't possibly be you."

I bought a dress because I thought it would be something Eames would wear. For serious.

I didn't comment on the fic, though I've read it more than once, it touched on something I can't quite put my finger on, so I'm looking forward your meta.

Well you know about me and all the dresses I own because they're very Jack.

Cool. Hopefully I won't pass out on the train, which I often do.

Blue and Yellow polka dots. Really! I'm excited about it, it's usually not my style.

Looking forward to it.

I haven't had long enough to finish reading (work has been hell) but I can't wait to do so and comment, and the idea of sequels is already exciting. ;)

As for taking the fiction shopping...I think there is sadly at least a quarter of my closet that is due to the fiction shopping. At least SOME of the voices have good taste. But others...

Oh, but we always take the fiction shopping.

At least with one pair, we have convinced him to divert the urge into buying all the skate and surf themed outfits for a Build-A-Bear instead of asking us to wear them.

If only you could pay for taking the fiction shopping with fictitious credit.

The fiction tends to take me shopping.

Shopping with fiction. It's what I do. And I never knew until today.

Are you kidding me? About 3/4 of what I wear is the result of having taken the fiction shopping!

My personas tend to take me shopping (it's really the only way I go - shopping elicits revulsion in me). I am very good about leaving other people's fiction at home. But I clearly have sections of my closet that clearly scream "[livejournal.com profile] crewgrrl in drag/costume."

The green wool sweater I am wearing right now is in my life because I saw it in a thrift store yesterday and realized it reminded me of Remus's beloved green jumper in The Shoebox Project.

Of course, that's shopping with somebody else's fiction, but I think the spirit is essentially the same.

...I really, really love this sweater.

Some of my best purchases have been because I took the fiction shopping. Or the fiction took me shopping. Whichever. Not consciously, of course, but reading this, that's exactly what it is. I adore the idea.

I am anxiously awaiting more of your fic.

I am currently writing the day Kurt moves to Boston (which is a huge clusterfuck) and some trying to adjust to college shit which is all weird and difficult because everyone's running around getting trashed in the dorms and Kurt and Blaine are all "er, I live off campus with my boyfriend, later" and they're not sure they want to be that grown up, but it is what it is.
