Talked to Patty but got cut off in the middle of the call and couldn't get back through.

Logistics for her coming home are still up in the air through no fault of anyone at all really (although the situation in Japan and paperwork in India are both involved).

So all is well, but this is one of those some days are harder than other days.

I am stoic it because it's less awful than flailing at you.

As someone who always hates the feeling of conversations truncated, I feel for you (and probably wouldn't be nearly so stoic as you are being, in your situation). I hope you can talk to Patty again soon.

That phone call situation would freak me the hell out, but under the circumstances it's not entirely unexpected because world communications can be tricky. Still.
